What a yantra is

A yantra is a sacred geometric diagram, traditionally engraved on copper or another metal, used in worship and in Vastu. Each yantra is associated with a deity or a purpose. We offer three: the Shri Yantra, the Vastu Yantra and the Kuber Yantra.

The Shri Yantra is the best known: nine interlocking triangles around a central point, associated with the goddess Tripura Sundari and with Lakshmi. In Vastu it is traditionally placed in the north-east, in the pooja room, on a clean raised surface, so that the person praying faces east or north. The Vastu Yantra is used where part of a plan cannot be changed. The Kuber Yantra is associated with Kuber, whose direction in Vastu is the north.

How a yantra is chosen

Which yantra suits a home, and where it goes, depends on the plan, so a yantra is usually suggested during a Vastu consultation or a floor plan review rather than chosen on its own. A yantra is not a replacement for correcting what can be corrected: where the use of a room or the position of heavy storage can change, that comes first. Our yantras are energised with Vedic mantras before they are handed over.

Who usually asks for yantras

Families setting up a pooja room, and people whose home cannot be changed structurally: a rented flat, a finished apartment with a fixed layout, or a building where the walls must stay as they are.

How to ask for a yantra

There is no online checkout. Send us an enquiry with the yantra you are interested in, or a short description of your home if you would like a suggestion, and we will confirm what is available and where it should go. You can also call us or message us on WhatsApp.

Sacred Yantras guides

Sacred Yantras: common questions

Where should a Shri Yantra be placed?

Traditionally in the north-east, in the pooja room, on a clean raised surface, so that the person praying faces east or north. Our Shri Yantra guide covers placement in detail.

Can a Vastu Yantra replace construction changes?

It is used where the structure cannot change. Where something can be corrected directly, such as the use of a room or the position of heavy furniture, that comes first.

How do I choose between the yantras?

Tell us what you are looking for and a little about your home, or book a Vastu consultation, and we will suggest one and where it should go.

Where should a Kuber Yantra be placed?

Traditionally in the north, the direction associated with Kuber in Vastu, in a clean place facing into the room. Tell us about the room and we will suggest the spot.

Does a yantra guarantee a result?

No. A yantra is part of a spiritual and Vastu practice. Nothing about it is guaranteed, and experiences vary from home to home.
