What a Vastu consultant does for a US property
A Vastu consultant reads how a property is oriented and laid out, then identifies what in that specific building is working against the people living in it. For an American property that usually means the direction the front door faces, where the kitchen range sits inside an open plan great room, which bedroom has been chosen as the master suite, where the attached garage and the basement stairs fall, and where the water and drainage sit relative to the rest of the plan.
The reading is of your property, not of Vastu in general. Two houses on the same street with mirrored floor plans need different corrections, which is why generic checklists found online are of limited use once you are standing in the house.
Vaastu consultation online, from anywhere in the USA
Most US consultations are conducted online by video call. You send the floor plan, whether that is the builder drawing, the listing plan or a measured sketch, along with a compass reading of the front door taken with a phone compass held level and clear of metal, and photographs of each room and of the approach to the entrance. We study the plan before the call rather than during it.
The call itself is a working session. We go through the plan zone by zone, ask about how the house is actually lived in, and set out what we would change and in what order. Slots are scheduled to suit Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time, which in practice means early mornings your time and evenings ours.
American home layouts and the issues they raise
US residential construction throws up a set of questions that rarely come up in India. Attached garages sit inside the footprint of the house rather than outside it, so the zone they occupy matters. Finished basements are used as bedrooms, gyms and home offices, which raises where a below grade room can reasonably be slept in. Split level and tri level homes break the plan across half floors, so the usual zone map has to be read floor by floor rather than as one square.
Open plan kitchens with island cooktops place the fire element near the centre of the plan, which classical practice treats as a defect. Townhouses and condominium units share walls and give you no control over the building, so the work moves inside the unit. Powder rooms tucked under staircases and mudrooms off the garage are small but frequently sit in zones worth checking. In person Vastu consultation in the USA
Our consultants travel to the United States, and while they are there a limited number of in person consultations are taken by appointment. An on site visit suits situations an online session cannot cover as well: choosing between properties before you buy, a plot or a new build where the structure is not yet fixed, a commercial premises, or a house where you would simply rather have someone walk the space with you.

Vedic astrology for clients in the USA
Alongside Vastu we read Vedic birth charts. Kundali analysis, marriage matching, career and business timing and remedial guidance are all conducted online for US clients, using your date, exact time and place of birth. Many families take a chart reading and a property reading together, because the two questions people bring, why a period feels stuck and whether the house is part of it, are usually asked at the same time.
Tarot, Akashic Records and numerology, online only
Tarot card reading, Akashic Records reading and numerology are available to US clients as online sessions with Mrs. Jayashree Maggirwar. Reiki and sound healing are conducted in person only at our offices in India and are not offered remotely, because both depend on being in the room.
What a Vastu consultation costs
We quote per property rather than publishing a rate card, because a two bedroom condominium and a five bedroom house on a half acre are not the same piece of work. The figure depends on the property type and size, whether the session is online or in person, and for in person work the travel involved. You get the full figure before anything begins, and there is no requirement to buy any product from us as a condition of the consultation.

Divyam Vaastu was founded in 1992 by Shri Yeshwant Maggirwar Ji and is led today by Mr. Avinash Maggirwar and Mr. Abhijit Maggirwar, who conduct the Vastu and astrology consultations personally. Our offices are in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) and Pune in India, and we have consulted for families abroad for many years. You will not be handed to a call centre or a junior associate.

Can I get a Vastu consultation in the USA?
Yes. Most US consultations are conducted online by video call using your floor plan, a compass reading of the front door and photographs, with slots scheduled across Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time. In person consultations in the USA are arranged by appointment when our consultants are travelling there.
Does Vastu apply to American houses?
Yes. Vastu works from direction, light and the use of each zone, and those apply to any structure regardless of where it was built. What changes is the vocabulary of the building. American plans bring attached garages, finished basements, split levels and open plan kitchens, and each of those needs to be read on its own terms rather than mapped onto an Indian floor plan.
How much does a Vastu consultant charge in the USA?
We quote per property after a short conversation, because the work varies with the property type and size and with whether the session is online or in person. Online consultations cost less than in person visits because there is no travel. You get the full figure before anything begins.
Do I need to renovate to correct Vastu in my US home?
In most cases no. The majority of corrections are placement and orientation changes: which way you sleep, where the desk faces, where heavy storage sits, how a room is used, and where specific remedial items are placed. Structural change is suggested only where nothing else addresses the issue, and we say so plainly when that is the case.
How do I take the compass reading for my house?
Stand in the middle of the main living space, hold your phone level with the compass app open, and step away from metal appliances, electrical panels and electronics. Note the direction the front door faces when you look out of it. We check the reading against the plan and satellite imagery, so an approximate figure is enough to start with.
Do you offer Reiki or sound healing to clients in the USA?
No. Reiki and sound healing are conducted in person only at our offices in India, because both depend on being in the room. Tarot card reading, Akashic Records reading and numerology are available to US clients as online sessions.
