What Rudraksha beads are
Rudraksha beads are the dried seeds of the Rudraksha tree, worn in India for centuries as a sacred bead associated with Lord Shiva. Each bead has natural lines running from end to end, called mukhis or faces, and the number of mukhis gives each bead its name: a 5 Mukhi bead has five, a 14 Mukhi bead has fourteen. A Gauri Shankar is two beads that grew naturally joined, read in tradition as Shiva and Parvati united.
We offer beads from 2 Mukhi to 14 Mukhi, and the Gauri Shankar bead.
How a bead is chosen
Each mukhi is traditionally associated with a deity, and the bead a person is advised to wear usually follows from a reading of their birth chart rather than from a bead's popularity. That is how we approach it: we look at the chart and at why you are asking, then suggest a bead. Our beads are energised with Vedic mantras before they are handed over.
The 5 Mukhi bead is the most commonly worn and is traditionally regarded as suitable for almost anyone, as a single bead, a bracelet or a mala. Other mukhis are usually chosen after a chart reading.
Who usually asks for Rudraksha
People who have been advised a particular mukhi in an astrology consultation, people who want a 5 Mukhi mala for daily japa, and couples and families looking for a Gauri Shankar bead to wear or to keep in the pooja room.
How to ask for a bead
There is no online checkout. Send us an enquiry with the mukhi you are interested in, or your birth details if you would like us to suggest one, and we will confirm what is available and how the bead is to be worn. You can also call us or message us on WhatsApp.

Rudraksha guides
Rudraksha: common questions
Which Rudraksha should I wear?
It depends on your birth chart and on why you want to wear one. The 5 Mukhi bead is the most commonly worn; other mukhis are usually chosen after a reading of the chart.
How can I tell a genuine Gauri Shankar Rudraksha?
A genuine Gauri Shankar is two seeds that grew joined, and glued imitations are common. An X-ray report is the reliable check; our Gauri Shankar guide explains what to look for.
How is a new bead worn?
Traditionally a new bead is worn after a short consecration, or Pran Pratishtha, on a thread or set in metal, as a single bead, a bracelet or a mala. We explain the wearing for the bead you choose.
Is Rudraksha a substitute for medical treatment?
No. Wearing Rudraksha is a spiritual and devotional practice. It is not a medical treatment and should never replace advice from a doctor.
